Leeds Castle - Leeds Castle, set on two islands in the centre of a motionless lake has been called 'the loveliest castle in the world'. Home to six of the medieval Queens of England and a Royal Palace of King Henry VIII, it is a treasure house of fine arts, tapestries and furnishings. Outside there are 500 acres of parkland and gardens to explore, and attractions include a Dog Collar Museum. a duckery, an aviary, maze and grotto, greenhouses and a vineyard.

Tenterden - Tenterden is known as The Jewel in the Weald and the people of the town try hard to preserve its character. Dawdle down the High Street, with its many good eating establishments. You could try a traditional English pub like the William Caxton or watch the world go by outside the White Lion, beer in hand of course. You may fancy an Indian, Turkish, Chinese or Italian or pop into the Lemon Tree for English food and English wine. Pegotty's tearoom serve cream teas and light snacks so the choice is yours. |
Kent and East Sussex Railway - Tenterden is the home of The Kent and East Sussex Railway. From Tenterden Town station young and old alike can enjoy a nostalgic trip through seven miles of beautiful countryside aboard one of the line's full size steam trains. |
